Name: Yapa ( 'untamed' in Aboriginal)
Gender: Male
Rank: Loner
Pack: None
Breed/s : Dingo
Pelt & Eye colour:
Yapa is a fiery orange dingo. His eyes are bright green and always seemed to have an adventurous spark in them. Around his muzzle his fur darkens to black, meeting his black nose. Down his throat and half way down his stomach his fur pales to yellow in a jagged stripe.
Build: Yapa has a strong build. He is built for endurance and strength. His body is muscular, yet thin. His legs are strong, powerful enough to keep him running at a good pace for nearly a day without rest.
Personality: Yapa has an adventurous, untamed spirit. He tends to get into a lot of fights, leaving him with many scars which he simply grins about when asked of them. He loves to travel and has never owned a territory of his own, preferring to wander the Outback without a care in the world. He has never found true love; well, love true enough to make him settle down in one place, though he looked for it.
He can be a serious dingo despite his usual attitude. Any problems he faces he takes with all seriousness, snapping at others who treat it as a joke.
He is very fatherly and protective, especially of his only daughter, Yani. His daughter has been the only thing that has came close to making him settle down, and when she disappeared with her mother he was heartbroken.
He tends to have a short temper, snapping at anyone who gets on his nerves. If they annoy him enough, he ends up fighting with them.
History:
Yapa, like any dingo, was born in his mother's den. His father hunted for them, but, other than that, had little to do with his son's upbringing for a month. At a month old, his father began teaching him how to fight and about the land they lived in. He was taught the stories of his ancestors, of the dark skinned and white skinned creatures effects and parts in the land, and of how his home came to be. It fascinated him, how much there was about the Outback he had yet to see. This led him to his life of adventure and wandering.
At 5 months, he was already a strong, young dingo, ready and willing to leave the familiar territory of his parents and see his great home for himself. And that he did.
One of his adventures lead him to an old fence that stretched along the landscape; the Rabbit fence. He quickly grew bored of trying to find a way around it and, eventually, headed back to the dusty land that was forever changing with the winds.
At 4 years of age, he had seen much of the Outback and the towns within it and on it's edges, as well as met many of the dogs in it. He wandered to a new area, well, new in the sense that a farm house had been built there. He became fascinated with a female dog that chased the creatures of the farm under the command of a human. It wasn't the first time a female had caught his attention so, there had been a few; but, somehow, this one seemed different. He began speaking with her, which was easy as she seemed to roam the farm when not chasing something.
A few months later, he was shocked to find her curled around a single pup in an old den. She chased him away, separating him from his only child. This left him confused and determined; he would be there for his daughter!
He watched her grow from afar for 2 months, her mother kept her away from the humans and rarely left her. The kelpie began bringing back the creatures from the farm to feed herself and her daughter.
The next time he came to check on his daughter, he found the den empty and the smell of blood and gun powder thick in the air. Panicking, he followed the scent, unsure if it was his daughter's blood or the kelpie's he was smelling. He reached Avari lands a few days after the kelpie had died and watched with a heavy heart as his distraught daughter was brought up by strangers in a strange land. His pride is endless now that his daughter is Alpha, though the 7 year old still watches from afar.
